Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Stefanos Ntouskos was the first torch bearer following the lighting of the Paris 2024 Olympic flame in Ancient Olympia, Greece. The event took place at the stadium where the earliest recorded Games were held in 776 BC.
Record-Breaking Clapp
Phil Clapp, 34, broke the 1:10 500m barrier and set an overall 500m world record of 1:09.8. The former British junior international is a four-time 500m open indoor rowing world champion.
