What is your daily writing routine like?
► try to write 1,000 words every morning, right after I walk the dog. This is more of an ideal than a reality – often the work I need to be doing is reading or thinking, and sometimes the writing is very slow. But that’s how writing is, sometimes. I think it’s good to have a routine, but not so helpful to hold yourself to it too strictly.
