BLU-RAY DEBUT One of the earliest releases from Charles Band’s Full Moon stable, this is a generic, low-energy affair that even the presence of Oscar winner Louise Fletcher (One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’s Nurse Ratched) can’t elevate. It’s described as “in the tradition of Alien”, but the HP Lovecraft flick From Beyond seems more of an influence. David Beecroft plays a NASA captain sent to a secret research facility after the death of a subject in the titular project – an ill-defined affair concerning extended deep sleep which somehow opens a gateway to a parallel dimension.
