(Tunisian simple stitch) Skip the vertical strand on the outside edge of the work, *insert hook from right to left under next vertical strand of yarn, yrh and pull up a loop; rep from * as indicated
RetP (Return Pass) (Yrh and pull through 2 loops on hook) rep as indicated

off Cut yarn leaving a 10cm tail, use the hook to pull the loop until the tail comes all the way through the centre of the top loop of the last st; thread the tail onto a needle, skip first st, insert needle through top of second st and pull through, insert needle through the centre of the final st and pull tight (a false stitch has been created over the top of the first st of the row/ round) For a full list, see page 94
