A stunning blanket by Sanita Brensone to set a 60s theme

MADE OF MOTIFS

YOU WILL NEED

Scheepjes Colour Crafter (100% acrylic, 100g/300m) 3 balls of each:

Yarn A Bergen (1420)

Yarn B Eindhoven (1114)

Yarn C Kampen (1035)

Yarn D Tilburg (1083)

A 4mm (US G/6) hook

TENSION

Hexagon measures 15cm (6in) in diameter across widest point

MEASUREMENTS

Blanket measures approx 140x115cm (55x45 in)

ABBREVIATIONS

hdtr (half double treble) Yrh twice, insert hook in st indicated, yrh and pull up a loop, yrh and pull through 2 loops on hook, yrh and pull through 3 loops on hook

tr join Tr in st on current motif, remove live loop from hook, insert hook through next st on adjacent motif, place live loop back on hook and pull through st

reverse dc Insert hook in next st to the right (or left if left-handed), yrh and pull up a loop, yrh and pull through 2 loops on hook For a full list, see page 94

NOTES

Blanket is made of 94 Hexagons and 10 Half Hexagons. There are 2 patterns for the Half Hexagon, which determine if they are joined to the right-hand edge or left-hand edge.

There are 3 Stitch Diagrams on page 95, which you can refer to when making the motifs. All rounds are read anticlockwise on the Hexagon Chart. For the Half Hexagons, all rows begin at the turning chain.
