ELSA HARDAR
“I was very excited when I got asked to participate in this month’s Hook to Hook challenge. I tried to make a very beginner-friendly, cute amigurumi pattern that any person could follow. When thinking about Easter and
Easter-themed designs, I immediately envisioned a sweet little chick. The biggest challenge for me was deciding how to use each of the colours but the yarn provided was just beautiful.” Check out Elsa’s work on Instagram at @

SACHIYO ISHII
“When I think of spring, Easter is the first thing that comes to mind. I love making cute amigurumi toys, so when I was given a chance to create a springthemed swag, I had to incorporate an amigurumi bunny. I haven’t used cotton much in my designs because I thought cotton might make my amigurumi limp, but I was wrong! Catania cotton was easy to crochet and shape. It gives a nice, neat finish, too. This experience has been absolutely delightful.” Find Sachiyo on Instagram at @knitsbysachi
Elsa has designed a beginner-friendly amigurumi project with easy stitches and easy assembly – essentially, two round shapes with uncomplicated pieces to add to the spheres;
work the beak separately and stich it to the face, then embroider eyes with black stranded cotton
