TENSION
6.75 rows of each double treble Strip (see Strip 3 instructions) to measure 10cm (4in) and 2 joined double treble Strips to measure 10 (10: 11: 12: 12)cm (4 (4: 4 ⁄ : 4 : 4 )in) wide after blocking and using a 3.5mm hook or size needed to obtain correct tension
ABBREVIATIONS
dc-join
Substitute the ch with a dc in indicated sp to JAYG join new yarn Without a starting loop on your hook, insert hook in st/ sp indicated, yrh, pull up loop (leave a 15cm tail), ch1 to secure yarn (does not count as st), work next instruction in same st/sp as join, pull beg tail firmly to collapse the ch-1 invisible join Cut yarn with 20cm tail, pull loop so tail comes through top of last st of round, thread yarn onto tapestry needle, insert needle through top of second st of round, insert needle down centre of top of last st of round, weave in end For a full list, see page 94
