“For the Hook to Hook challenge, I wanted to create celebration bunting that’s cheerful and springlike! Most of my creations are amigurumi, so I decided to make the suns 3D – and, of course, with little smiles! My inspiration usually comes from animals and nature.
I like simple but effective designs that are quick and enjoyable to make. My sunny celebration bunting could work for a range of celebrations, or just for decoration!” Find Katie on Instagram and Ko-fi at @beaniknitz

“For this particular challenge, I wanted to share a simple yet whimsical design that embodied all the fun of a children’s party. Thinking about what my daughters would want for their own birthday decorations, I’d soon added spots, stripes, tassels and pompoms to the bunting design. I hope the Simply Crochet readers enjoy making their own party hat bunting and sharing it with the little ones in their lives.” Find Lex on both Instagram and Facebook at @lex_in_stitches
