HOW DO I DECREASE SQUARES?
Next, work the third level and try decreasing Squares
We’ll work the next level in the same colour as the first level (it makes a nice checked pattern). We’re going to work two Squares again, to show you how to decrease the number of Squares.
Step 1 To decrease by one Square at the start of a new level, join the yarn at the top-right of the first Square of the previous row, in the first ss. This forms the first loop of the row.
Step 2 Work this Square as a plain Square.
Step 3 Work the next Square as a plain Square as well. You can just stop here and you will have decreased one Square at the end of the row. You will have 2 Squares on this finished third level.
