Steeze
Noun. Insouciant competence and exhibition of confidence in style or manner. “Dude, that was a totally steezy 360, man. I mean, like, dude! Total steeze!”
the word ‘steeze’, I have to admit, crept up on me slowly. I had no inkling whatsoever of its existence; I then overheard it once or twice, and suddenly, BAM! It was everywhere. Spoken with wide-eyed enthusiasm by younglings, or more ironically by the less young and more wistful.
Honestly though, I can’t even remember where I first heard it. Probably at some jump park somewhere, as I swiftly appraised each and every feature with knowing, experienced eyes and an emphatic ‘nope’. In such places, people will excitedly offer up their own commentary upon their peers’ prowess, and invariably the word ‘steeze’ will appear.
