The launch lineup: Essential PSVR2 experiences
A headset lives and dies on its library of games. So how’s it looking so far?
Horizon Call of the Mountain
This is a new entry in one of PlayStation’s biggest modern franchises, and one that was built from the ground up for VR. The opening five minutes – aJurassic Park-style boat ride that replaces real dinosaurs with the series’ robotic equivalent – are simply breathtaking.
Whether you’re scaling rock faces, pinging arrows at a vicious Walker, gasping in awe at a giant Tallneck or simply leaning in too close to in-game characters while you’re talking to them to see how they react (it’s funny, try it), Call of the Mountain is an incredibly immersive 6-8hr romp that should absolutely be the first game you play on your new hardware.
