Thanks to the buttock-clenching acceleration that became a Tesla hallmark, the world knows that battery-based vehicles can move. In fact, with no gears to move up through, they supply power and torque far more quickly than their petrol-powered cousins. With one twist of its throttle, the SR/F delivers 140lb/ft of torque and 110bhp – a combination that will have you tearing effortlessly through the streets. That much oomph supplied that quickly could prove troublesome on a slick road, so Zero has fitted the bike with Bosch’s Motorcycle Stability Control to help keep it on a leash.
