Editor’s letter
August always feels like a time for great adventures. Travelling to far-flung places. Bikepacking up trails and down through valleys. Wild swimming in Britain’s pristine rivers... well, okay, maybe not that pristine these days. But you get my point.
My personal bucket list is a little bit more modest right now. Regular readers may recall I recently broke my ankle during an ill-advised adventure of my own: climbing up a slightly sloping wall. So while I’m not currently Bear Grylls-ing my way through the world’s great unspoiled wildernesses, I too have ambitious escapades I’m aiming to fulfil. Namely, being able to trek to reaches as far flung as Starbucks or capable of showering while standing up.
