KEF’s LS50 standmounters were already one of the leading designs at this sort of money, and the update to incorporate the company’s ingenious ‘metamaterial’ technology has only made them better. They’re even more punchy, dynamic and eloquent – and the update hasn’t affected the look, which is a good thing. The curve of the cabinet’s panels, and the coaxial driver arrangement, is almost as appealing as the sound.
