#72 NEST THERMOSTAT E
There’s not been much movement in the smart thermostat market over the past couple of years, and nor does there need to be. Nest’s lower-cost model, which switches metal for plastic but doesn’t really skimp on the smartness otherwise, does everything you’d need it to do: it keeps your home at a consistent temperature, it stops you wasting energy when you’re not home, and it looks pretty damn snazzy.

#73 BLINK MINI
The best security camera is two security cameras, so if you’re really trying to blanket-cover your entire home you need to go cheap and many. The Blink Mini, then, is a prime option. It’s certainly cheap, but that doesn’t mean it’s not capable: for your 30 quid you get 1080p video, motion detection, night vision, twoway audio, and footage that’s easily flung onto (or monitored live on) any Alexa or Fire device.
