I’ve been based in this workshop in the centre of Budapest since 2010. We movedthere from another workshop in town, where we’d been for nine years. We now have a much better location, just of the main avenue of Erzsébet körút, so it’s easy for everyone to ind, and the workshop has ive huge windows, which give excellent natural light. Looking through the windows you can see the Franz Liszt Academy of Music; many of its students comethere to have their bows rehaired and ask my advice on how to get the best out of their instrument. Moreover, the famed Reményi violin making dynasty was basedthere for more than 70 years, so you get a sense of history just from entering the building.
