PEUGEOT E-208
BEST FACELIFT
We like the e-208, it’s one of those cars that’s sensible to drive. It’s a great first EV, one that doesn’t rely on nostalgia, and the subtle mid-life facelift has made it look more assertive too. Bien joué, Peugeot.
DOGOOD ZERO
BEST SCOOTER ALTERNATIVE
It’s official – the UK has a new cheapest car, and it’s an imported Chinese quadricycle with a ridiculous smiley face. Meet the Dogood Zero, yours for £5,995. Just remember that price while you’re in it.
HONDA
BIGGEST FLOP
The grand electric revolution started off so promisingly for Honda – here was a carmaker that had pioneered interesting hybrid cars like the Insight alongside Toyota’s Prius, that introduced the cute retro-inspired e city car back in 2020 off the back of two exciting concept cars. The e was stylish, well put together and lots of fun – you could play retro games consoles while you charged. Sadly you’d find yourself doing that a lot, what with the 120-mile official range.
