FINNAIR IS set to grow its presence in Sweden after extending its co-operation with Stockholm-based regional airline BRA. Starting in January, the Finnish flag carrier will boost weekly capacity on services between Helsinki and the Swedish capital’s city centre airport, Bromma, by 40% through increased frequencies of up to seven daily flights. The extra rotations, operated by a combination of Finnair (via a new morning and evening service, operating five and six days a week respectively) and BRA (with a new afternoon link each weekday), are in addition to the Finnish airline’s eight daily connections to nearby Arlanda. BRA CEO Christian Clemens commented: “Expanding our co-operation with Finnair benefits our customers, who now get even better connections to Europe and Asia. We have operated the Umeå-Helsinki route for Finnair since September 2016, and are now happy to expand our flying for Finnair with the new Bromma frequency.”
