The Duke of Edinburgh group held a table top car boot and craft sale at Arran High School recently to raise funds for their expeditions.
Featuring a wide variety of stalls from sewing items to jewellery and clothing to artwork and a tombola, the event was well attended throughout the day with shoppers picking up some of the many bargains on sale. In addition to the stalls, visitors were able to enjoy a host of home baking and tea and coffee in the canteen which was staffed by silver Duke of Edinburgh participants.
All of the funds raised from the event, and other events throughout the year, goes towards the expeditions which, this year, saw the gold group kayaking from Fort William to Inverness and from Ardrossan to Kintyre.
