THE AW team was out in force at the 54th annual awards of the British Athletics Writers’ Association last Friday. We even presented some prizes as athletes such as Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis-Hill were named athletes of the year (see pages 14-15).
The winners were decided by athletics writers whose job it is to cover the sport. But ordinary fans often go to just as many events as the professionals who work in athletics – and these spectators, club athletes, coaches and officials can have their say in the AW readers’ awards, which we’re launching this week in the magazine and online.
