FRENCH LEAVE

Raise a glass at the inaugural European Gay Wine Weekend in Blaye, Bordeaux, where vino novices and connoisseurs can mingle. Running between 18 and 21 October, it will be hosted by Anthony and Patrick, the London-based founders of wine-selling business Redevined Wines. The trip includes visits to working chateaux and local wineries to learn more about the wine-making process. There will be dinners, a micro-wine festival and tastings as the sun goes down in stunning locations each night. Guests can burn off the calories with the complimentary yoga classes and group runs along vineyard tracks, pick up goodies to take home at the local market, and join guided tours of UNESCO World Heritage site, Citadelle de Blaye. At the end of the trip there will be a champagne and oyster brunch.
