Australian Railway History  |  November 2018
Centenary of the Armistice of the Great War, - NSW Government Railways and Tramways employees who died during the conflict.
Bill Phippen has written an article that looks at the history of the Memorial and Roll of Honour that was created for Sydney Railway Station. The boards were described as a splendid piece of work. The subsequent history of the boards after 1960 is unknown, until they were delivered to the Heritage Store in the old paint shop at Eveleigh about 2007. ARHSnsw was commissioned by Transport Heritage NSW to prepare brief biographies for each of the 1219 names that appear on the boards. Some of these have featured through out this edition.
