Offering design flexibility, expert support and fixed prices for much of the work, teaming up with a package home provider could give you a straightforward route to your new bespoke home. Here’s how it works – and how you can choose the right company to take you on the journey.
The basics
Package suppliers can act as a onestop shop for a sizeable chunk – or sometimes the entirety – of the design and build of your home. Most offer a suite of services for you to choose from, so you can get a tailored level of support for your project.
The typical starter for 10 is for these companies to translate your architect’s designs into viable structural drawings. From here, they’ll then provide all the materials you’ll need to construct the shell of your new house (minus the foundations, which you’ll normally need to arrange yourself). Most firms will also erect it on site for you using their own in-house crew or a trusted partner.
