Dollhouse Miniatures  |  Issue 94
By the end of this year I will finally be in my new house after selling my family home. I already have my new studio space designed in my head! After being in the same house for 50 years it will be really interesting to be in a brand new home built from scratch. Hey, my first ‘full scale’ build, right?
Moving my miniatures and dollhouses is much more work then moving my full scale items. Every little item needed to be wrapped and protected and then unwrapped and put back in the houses. When I moved from my family home to my boyfriend’s place, the movers didn’t touch any of my miniatures. Instead, I had friends to help because they understand how important my houses are. I have already enlisted them for the next move.
I couldn’t get my full scale items in place right away because of lack of space and energy, but being able to have my miniature houses in order made me feel so comforted. Not to mention the meditative state I experience when arranging a miniature room or scene. It’s so good for stress!
The next time you feel a little overwhelmed try taking all of your furniture out of one dollhouse room. Then give it a dusting and put it all back in place. It feels amazing!
