A RAY OF LIGHT
I was most grateful for your article Finally, there may be good news about endometriosis (September). I have lived with this condition since my late teens which made getting pregnant very difficult. I’ve seen so many doctors. I’d tried all sorts of pain medicines and hormone injections. I’ve had surgery, but it always returns. It can be so painful at times, like labour pains. I feel like I have lived with a dark cloud about my head but when I read this feature, I felt like there was a ray of light in the distance. So I’ve been to my doctor and I’m going to try utrogestan – a natural hormone made from yams – which you recommended to stop the painful periods. My GP also asked if she could have a copy of your article.
