Android ported to RISC-V
ANDROID
Android 10 has been booted on a RISC-V SoC.
Android 10 has been ported to the RISC-V-based XuanTie C910 cores, and impressively it runs with working graphics and even touchscreen support. A video of Android running on RISC-V has been posted on the project’s GitHub (see http://bit.ly/LXF274Android10), where you can see the performance. It’s not great – you’ll notice it runs slower than modern smartphones – but it’s certainly promising and could pave the way for RISC-V-based Android devices in the future.
