This colour album showcases Devon’s railway scene over the past 35years. The ex-GWR and LSWR routes form the main focus, along with Exmouth, Barnstaple and Okehampton branches. There’s a pleasing variety of traction on display, in a wide range of BR and privatisation liveries.
There are also plenty of reminders of the once-diverse range of rail-borne freight emanating from the county – a far cry from more recent years. All images are of a high quality and show how the railway infrastructure has evolved, just as much as the trains themselves.
