A SPECIAL ‘Explorer Train’ to South Devon, aimed at raising money for a prostate cancer charity, brought Great Western Railway staff who arranged the trip, and the three-year-old train enthusiast grandson of one of the organisers, together with the 86-year-old designer of Britain’s most iconic train – the InterCity 125.
The ‘125’ carried enthusiasts from Paddington to Newton Abbot, and then on to Buckfastleigh – only the second time an HST has visited Buckfastleigh.
