The domestic rugby league season has certainly gone out with a bang, with a series of showpiece matches producing fireworks on the field of play and celebrations for the winners.
Wigan Warriors retained their Super League title at Old Trafford, and the trophy cabinet at The Brick Community Stadium must be starting to creak under the weight of all the silverware they have collected in 2024. The inaugural winner of the Rob Burrow Award as man of the match, Bevan French, talks to us about a momentous season for himself and his club.
Runners-up Hull KR had the consolation of seeing Mikey Lewis named as the Steve Prescott Man of Steel, and we caught up with him to look back over a year to remember for this rising star of our sport.
York Valkyrie overcame the odds and their doubters to retain the Women’s Super League title against hot favourites St Helens, and Leeds Rhinos completed an undefeated season in the Wheelchair Super League. We have coverage from both Grand Finals inside, and Hunslet’s thrilling charge to promotion from League One to the Championship.
Just as we went to press, the Championship Grand Final saw Wakefield Trinity emerge victorious.
