In an age when just about every genre of comic has yielded a faithful, successful movie or television incarnation, DC/Vertigo’s line of dark fantasy sagas is still awaiting its turn. While superhero film fans got The Dark Knight, horror mavens got The Return Of The Swamp Thing. While The Flash raced up the TV ratings charts, Constantine was cancelled before its occult investigator could smoke his first cigarette on screen. But today’s Golden Age of Television offers multiple opportunities for success or failure. And with genre shows like The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones pushing the medium’s boundaries, it was only a matter of time before Vertigo received its due, enter Preacher.

Has given me lots of new shows to look forward to and also a great new book to start reading. Can't wait for the next issue
Great value and great magazine Reviewed Wednesday, March 19, 2014
I liked the virtual version so much I have now taken out a subscription to the print version. I was reading the this version on 7 inch nexus which might be a bit small. Can't argue with the price though. Good value and a good read.
Great reading Reviewed Monday, March 17, 2014
Been reading paper edition of SFX since issue 34 for about 12 years then stopped, thought I'd give it another look and try the digi-mag version and it's great! Enjoying getting back into it after being 'out of touch' with the media of film, books and comics info for so long. Plenty of editorial not just huge pics like some other mags - well worth the money.
