DAREDEVIL TERRIERS, WHY THE IRISH IS THE BEST HUNTER
Bold, independent, strong-willed and feisty, the Irish terrier was bred in Ireland in the 1700s to hunt foxes, otters and other pests and perform the duties of guard dog and farm dog. It is thought to be the oldest of the terrier breeds and in its early days sported brindle and black-and-tan coats as well as the red or wheaten of today’s breed standard, which was adopted in the
late 1800s. The Irish terrier has earned the title of being the “daredevil” of the dog world.
