In this month’s issue of 4x4, we’ve got some big first drives, big builds and tales of some big adventures.
We’ve been behind the wheel of the new Range Rover Evoque for the first time, assessing whether it wears the Range Rover name better than before, whilst we’ve also been zipping about in the Mercedes EQC all-electric SUV.
Our cover star is a very special 90 – one that has been rebuilt from the ground up in a bid to make it the best all-roader Defender it can possibly be. We’ve also got a deeper look into the Arctic Trucks AT44 Hilux, which is as ludicrous as it is sublime.
Also within the pages of this issue, we bring you a globetrotting 110 as it makes its way to the southern edge of the Americas, plus the story of overlanding in a national park – that doesn’t have any roads…
Find all of that plus the latest news and products from the 4x4 world in the pages of our December 2019 issue.

Since lockdown, there has been a huge growth in the number of people getting into camping, the outdoors and enjoying an off-grid lifestyle. More and more, as a society we want to get away. Away from the relentlessness of a working life that has increasingly invaded our homes; away from the tyranny of always-on electronics and ever-watchful social media; away from the pressure to be busy, to be productive, to be available.

When your every waking hour is spent feeling hunted, just disappearing into the countryside for the weekend is a blessed relief. And if you’re in a 4x4, you can disappear further away and deeper into it. Overlander 4x4 reflects Britain’s new-found interest in an outdoor lifestyle.

We’re not a magazine about camping, but a magazine about the sort of adventures that involve it. Primarily, we focus on overlanding – showcasing both trip-of-a-lifetime expeditions as well as adventures that are more modest and, for most of us, more attainable. As always with anything four-wheel drive, it’s going to be a journey worth making, so join us for the adventure.

As a subscriber you'll receive the following benefits:

•  A discount off the RRP of your magazine
•  Your magazine delivered to your device each month
•  You'll never miss an issue
•  You’re protected from price rises that may happen later in the year

You'll receive 13 issues during a 1 year Overlander 4X4 magazine subscription.

Note: Digital editions do not include the covermount items or supplements you would find with printed copies.
