What are your favourite snacks when you run?
When I’m running longer distances, I mostly stick to energy gels, but for anything over 20 miles I’ll also make a quick pit stop for a plain ham sandwich on white bread. Having something simple and savoury works wonders, as after swallowing a bunch of gels, the last thing you want is more sugar. I’ve played around with various different snacks, such as mini pretzels, jelly babies or gummy sweets, but chewing isn’t ideal when you’re running, so gels are my preferred choice.
