Poems about hope are invited for the Free Verse: The Poetry Book Fair Competition 2017. The competition is for original, unpublished hope-themed poems no longer than fourteen lines. Winning entries will be displayed to welcome visitors to the Poetry Book Fair at Conway Hall in London in September. There is a grand prize of £500 and a short reading at the Fair. Three runners-up will each win £50 to spend at the Fair and a short reading.
Enter by post, or through the website after paying the entry fee by PayPal (£5, £10 for three). Postal entrants can download an entry form and send it with their poems and a cheque for the entry fee payable to Poetry Book Fair. The closing date is 7 August.
