The writers with most potential are offered development opportunities. Submit spec scripts that showcase original voices. Last year’s Comedy Script Room invited original scripts for film TV, radio, stage, online (including children’s TV and radio) between 30 and 90 minutes. Full details are posted online during the submission window (19 March-16 April).

Vice Media, which features original reporting on news, arts and culture and topical observation of contemporary life, is a growing global market, with international editions of its monthly print magazine and websites, updated daily, carrying a mixture of international and country-specific stories. Clever, funny, clued-in writers with interesting angles on topical stories, including photo stories and video stories, should send pitches by email. The UK editor is Jamie Clifton. Payment varies.
