Each year what we eat changes and different foods, like fashions, have their time to shine. From kelp noodles to avocado ice cream, it looks set to be a great year for vegan foodies.
1 PACIFIC RIM FLAVOURS
People love to explore the world through their taste buds, and as more people travel to regions like Asia and Oceania, and the western coasts of North and South America, flavours from the Pacific Rim are becoming more present in our foods. Vibrant fruits including dragon fruit, guava, and passionfruit, are making their way into smoothie bowls and cocktails, and have increased in demand at grocery stores. Likewise, jackfruit has become a favourite meat-alternative, to replace foods like barbeque pulled pork.
