Vintage Trucks & Commercials  |  July-August 2019
Issue #54 of Vintage Trucks & Commercials Magazine continues to serve its mission of 'preserving Australia's Transport History' with a collection of articles to entice all tastes. This issue, we cover the Copper Coast Classic Cavalcade, Go deep into the history of 'Doug and his Special Bulldogs' and continue a popular section from last issue, with more 'Truckie with a Camera' as well Editor Rob Zavone 's Rally report from the Rocklea Annual Truck Show.
We have part two of 'Territory Truckie' and show further the adventures of Willie Macheleidt. Other features in this issue are 'The Ugly Duckling' which brings to light information about the little known 1938 International D-300. We start with part one on Liddell Transport of Tennant Creek, and Paul Tol brings us information of the Saurer A-Type Railcar from the South Australian Railways from 1923 to 1934.
On our cover is Ian Hinks 1953 International R-180, that has a very interesting driveline and covers its restoration, and in Models in 1/43 Scale, Rob Bender discusses all things paint with his story on BALM - 'British Australian Lead Manufacturers'
As always we have the usual features of trucking events coming up around the country, news and letters from interested readers, Truck Art and the Classifieds section where a host of trucks and others items are up for sale.
