WHAT GOES INTO the melting pot that is the annual What Car? Car of the Year Awards? Well, there’s 12 months’ worth of new car launches, thousands of miles of driving on roads around the world – and several thousand more in the UK, where we pit the newcomers against their best rivals.
We look at everything from comfort to costs, practicality to performance, and refinement to reliability. Then, we condense everything we’ve learnt into what start as reasoned debates between our testers and generally conclude with at least one proper falling out.
