IT’S VERY UNCOMMON for a car to have few or no direct rivals, but the Peugeot e-308 SW is in that exact position. It’s a fully electric estate car, and the majority of car manufacturers haven’t yet cottoned on to the need for such a thing.
It’s true that more are on the way, namely the Audi A6 Avant e-tron, BMW i5 Touring and Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Electric. But until those cars arrive, the only other electric estates you can buy are the MG 5 and Porsche’s Taycan Cross Turismo and Taycan Sport Turismo. And as you might imagine, it’s the MG that the e-308 SW finds itself competing against.
