AS A SMALL hybrid SUV from a premium brand, the LBX is pretty much in a class of one at present, and it’s a combination that works remarkably well. It may be the brand’s cheapest model, but it’s a true Lexus inside, being plush and very well equipped; mid-rung Premium Plus trim brings useful extra goodies. True, the low-speed ride could be smoother, but the LBX promises lower running costs than most rivals, plus stellar reliability.
