Match drawn
To set the scene we need to go back to the third Test of the series at Barbados. In the first innings I’d got caught in the usual danger area to the last delivery before a rain break, which was a bit galling. We started the second innings way behind, and I’m in early at 2-2. Roberts, Holding, Croft, Garner. Here we go again… But I’m feeling good, hooking, ducking, weaving, and I’ve reached my half-century when Viv Richards comes into the attack, bowling his non-spinning off-breaks.
