Let cricket stand on its own two feet
Is cricket fun? I ask this because, with the discussion that seems to be forming around The Hundred, the ECB seems to fear desperately that the answer to that question is ‘No’.
The idea that cricket needs a change of terminology and that, according to The Telegraph, there is “a feeling the tournament has to look very different from existing competitions” just reinforces this. There are also reports that there’ll be “live entertainment” between games. It is almost as if they want to trick people into watching cricket.
