Mithali Raj is among the most articulate voices in the game. Her singular story gives her a unique perspective. She is the only active female cricketer from a Full Member country to have played international cricket in the previous century, has held the job of ODI captain since 2004, and is out on her own in the list of all-time ODI run-makers. She has, moreover, witnessed a revolution in women’s cricket globally and in India specifically, where the game, ignored for so long, has finally been recognised by a notoriously chauvinistic establishment as something more than an irritating adjunct.
