Should I strength train on the same day as a run?
If you’ve just finished a run sometimes the last thing you want to think about is lifting heavy dumbbells. So should runners double up, or is it wiser to only do strength work on the days they don’t run?

It does depends on a few factors, but for the trained runner there is no reason not to be able to run on the same day as strength training – but I must stress it all depends on the type of training.
