EAT WELL
WhyamIdizzy whenIrun?
Dizziness could be linked to poor hydration levels, so it’s important to drink enough water throughout the day. Aim to chug back around two litres a day, and along with plain H20, try sipping coconut water as it contains electrolytes that help replenish you too.
Dizziness can also be a sign your blood sugar levels are unbalanced. This happens when you miss meals or don’t eat a substantial snack either before or after training, so try to make sure you remain fuelled up.
ShouldItake amultivitamin supplement?
Eating a balanced diet with all three macronutrients (protein, carbohydrate and fat) plus fruit and vegetables (five portions daily and preferably more), should give you adequate levels of vitamins and nutrients. But it’s worth noting that nutrients can be lost through food storage and cooking. Also, if you’re training regularly, your nutrient needs may be higher, so it won’t harm to top up levels with a good quality supplement.
