5 DOGGY TIPS
Ginetta George and Gail Walker from DogFit explain what to consider before running with your dog
1 Temperature
If it’s a warm day, you may need to bring extra water for you and your dog. Or plot a route and run somewhere that has running water nearby for them to drink.
Be aware of running with your dog when it’s too hot; there’s no exact maximum temperature to work to, it’s more of a case of using common sense. We can choose shorts and vest, but your pooch has no option other than to run in their fur coat.
