ISSUE 161 || MAY 2023
My preference is to run on my own. There are a lot of us like that, I think. People for whom the running is part exercise, and part therapy. By the time I’ve come back from my solo runs, I’ve given my brain a bit of a break, which makes it a happier place to inhabit.
But while I am 90% lonely goat and proud of it, I have made a sudden and surprising realisation about the warmth, companionship and support that running with others can bring. I knew this was the case for other people, I just didn’t think it was for me! But then Paris came along.
