I can’t count the number of comments I’ve had from nonrunners over the years asking why I feel the need to constantly encourage women to run. If you want to run, all you need to do is run, right?
Unless… you don’t see anyone who looks like you on the start line. You look at race photos and the participants are mostly men, and mostly white. What if that doesn’t reflect you and your experience?
