We all know that consistency is key when it comes to running success. However, when life hits and you can’t get out to do your planned session, the best option is to allow yourself to rest. Being a slave to a training plan may mean you will sacrifice rest days in order to catch up, days that are vital for recovery and adaptation. As with all aspects of life, balance is also key, so stay calm if you miss an important session and don’t try to force it into your training during the next week. One bad week never stopped anyone getting a PB. Fact!
