People are often bemused when they find out that I have my own agent. Is that necessary, they ask? To which I say, emphatically, yes – particularly when they are as brilliant as my agent is. But it is a fundamental business adage that one shouldn’t get high on one’s own supply: doctors should not prescribe their own medicines and lawyers should not represent themselves in court.
